Your rights and responsibilities when using Hearth products and services.

By purchasing, activating, or using any Hearth Display device, mobile application, or web service (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.
Hearth provides a smart family display device ("Hearth Display") and companion software that allows families to share calendars, manage routines, plan meals, display photos, and coordinate household activities. Services include the physical device, iOS and Android mobile applications, and optional cloud-based subscription features.
To use Hearth, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
The Hearth Display device is a one-time purchase. Family and Premium subscription plans provide access to advanced AI features and are billed monthly. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time through the Hearth app; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
All content, features, and functionality of the Services, including but not limited to software, text, graphics, logos, and interfaces, are the exclusive property of Hearth Display Inc. and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Services (photos, calendar data, etc.). By submitting content, you grant Hearth a limited license to store and display that content solely to provide the Services to you.
Hearth Display devices come with a one-year limited hardware warranty covering manufacturing defects under normal use. Damage caused by accidents, misuse, or unauthorized modifications is not covered. Contact hello@hearthdisplay.org to initiate a warranty claim.
You may return your Hearth Display within 30 days of receipt for a full refund, no questions asked. To initiate a return, contact hello@hearthdisplay.org. Hearth covers return shipping costs. Gift purchases have a 60-day return window.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hearth Display Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Services in the twelve months preceding the claim.
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, except as expressly stated in these Terms or required by applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Multnomah County, Oregon.
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
